It is not ‘normal’…

Sometimes we take things as ‘normal’, because they are socially or culturally acceptable, because that’s how we grew up, because other people do them, etc.

But when we move to another country, we realize that in that country, they are not ‘normal’, maybe they are even unacceptable.

Why is that?

They are part of subconscious beliefs we hold from our culture, upbringing, etc. which make us act unconsciously, which make us be not free to be who we truly are and live they life we want.

And the consequence is that we react to things, and we behave in ways that are not loving, both to ourselves and others.

Here are just some thoughts…

- it is not ‘normal’ to control people, maybe in the name of ‘care or love’ and interfere with their life
- it is not ‘normal’ to disapprove, judge, criticize, put down people, even if with ‘humor’, they are just our shadow projections
- it is not ‘normal’ to manipulate people to get what we want
- it is not ’normal’ to scream or get angry at children
- it is not ‘normal’ to think we know best for another person, every person is their own guru
- it is not ‘normal’ to shout at people, maybe just because we are stressed
- it is not ‘normal’ to keep quiet and not get angry, when it needs to be
- it is not ’normal’ to cheat or lie, even a ‘white’ lie
- it is not ’normal’ to deny another person’s truth or feelings, maybe just because we don’t agree with her
- it is not ‘normal’ to play the blame game and make another person ‘guilty’ or ‘ashamed’, taking responsibility is something completely different
- it is not ‘normal’ …. you can continue the list for you

The more we become aware of the subconscious beliefs we hold, the more we can find freedom.
