The most difficult peace treaty

It is with ourselves.

Most of us are at war with ourselves. There are parts of us we do not accept - maybe because we are afraid of others’ judgments -, there are things we have done or not done we cannot forgive ourselves for, there are feelings, thoughts or behaviors we fight and feel ashamed of, there are pains and scars we have that we reject and try to hide. We feel inadequate and we push ourselves to the limit, maybe we spend our life giving to others because we feel we are not enough or we need to punish ourselves for something we have not even done.

The day we will decide to sign the peace treaty with ourselves, our whole life - and world - will change irrevocably for the better. We will give ourselves permission to be who we truly are, we will heal and allow ourselves to feel our real home.

It is about welcoming - welcoming everything we are, everything we experience, everything we feel, everything, even the unspeakable. When we welcome, we allow it to be transfigured in the Light. It is not a one off job, it is a 24/7 job, and it begins with a decision, a decision that we might need to reiterate every day, even more times a day, as the ego can be very strong and tricky, but a decision that will bring us towards real freedom, power and wholeness. There are many psychological techniques which can help you on the path, just choose one that feels right for you, and be aware it might change over time as you progress on your journey ‘home’.

When will you welcome yourself home?
